Traveling REC - GENERAL INFORMATION

FCSA Spring 2014 Traveling Rec League Schedule

Rec Registration closed on Feb. 7

What is Early Registration? This year, we registered most players for spring at the end of the fall season 2013. Why? Well, the club will be able to better organize team formation if we have the registrations completed earlier. Coordinators will use the extra time to find coaches and complete scheduling.

Registration Timeline:

Early Registration - Nov. 9 - Dec. 31, 2013 - $90

Regular Registration - Jan. 1 - Jan. 19, 2014 - $95

Late Registration - Jan. 20-Feb. 7, 2014 - $115

Registration Closes - Feb. 7, 2014

Coaches Meeting - Feb. 21, 2014

Season Kickoff - March 1, 2014

On what team will I be placed? Players automatically return to their previous team if registered before the late period. ESC coordinators will group players by neighborhood or school district whenever possible.

In which age group is my child? Brackets are determined by birthdays, not school grades. In other words, children are grouped by their ages as of July 31, not whether they are in first or second grade. This means that children in the same class at school could be in different age groups for soccer.

Current Age Brackets
U12 Under 11 and Under 12
U14 Under 13 and Under 14
U16 Under 15 and Under 16
U19 Under 17 thru Under 19

Age Group (if birthday falls within ...)

U11 (‘03 player) 8/1/02-7/31/03
U12 (‘02 player) 8/1/01-7/31/02

What is the player pass? All U11 - U19 Traveling Rec players must upload a face photo in their player account which will be used to create the pass. Passes are presented to the referee for team check-in prior to every match. Log into your account at www.gotsoccer.com using your username/password. Browse your computer to locate a suitable face photo and upload it into the player account. Your coach or team manager can then create the player passes.

Is additional training for players available through ESC? ESC's Center of Excellence is designed to enhance the skills of the individual player. Children have the opportunity to work with coaches who are highly qualified in teaching the skills necessary to excel in soccer. The COE consists of eight one-hour practice sessions held at the Edmond complex during the recreational seasons. The COE is open to all recreational players regardless of ability. Information forms are available at registration and on the Center Of Excellence page on this site.
